Brutal Animal Cruelty Uncovered in Barabanki: Cattle Blindsided with Chili Powder in Attempted Transport
In a shocking incident of animal cruelty in Barabanki's Asandra, perpetrators used chili powder to blind cattle during a forced transport attempt. The event led to a heated clash involving local residents and a Pradhan representative claiming administrative orders. Police have registered a case under Section 325 of the BNS 2023 following a complaint by Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh leader Diptanshu Nigam.
Diptanshu Nigam, a member of the Siddheshwar ward of Nagar Panchayat Siddhaur and the District President of the Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh, filed a formal complaint at the Asandra police station regarding the event. According to the complaint based on information received on April 17, several individuals were engaged in treating the cattle with extreme inhumanity. Eyewitnesses and local residents present at the scene immediately protested against this cruel conduct, but their intervention was met with hostility and indecency from the accused parties.
During the escalating confrontation, Anand Yadav, the representative of the Tikriyan Pradhan from the Siddhaur block, arrived with approximately half a dozen laborers. Yadav clashed with the locals, claiming he was acting under the direct instructions of District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi to capture stray cattle and transport them to a cow shelter. As public outrage intensified, the perpetrators abandoned the animals at the site and fled in their vehicle alongside their accomplices. Before their departure, they reportedly issued threats to those who had opposed their actions.
Asandra Inspector Alok Mani Tripathi has confirmed that based on the District President's complaint, a case has been registered under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023. The police have launched a comprehensive probe into the matter to identify all involved parties and verify the claims made during the dispute. This incident has sparked significant concern regarding the methods used in animal handling and the audacity of the accused to threaten citizens while committing acts of severe physical torture against defenseless cattle.
